Whitecross NS Mission Statement

Whitecross NS is a co-educational Catholic primary school which strives to provide a well ordered, caring, happy and secure environment where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral and cultural needs of the pupils are identified and addressed.

While Whitecross is a Catholic school, it also gives due recognition to all other religions.

The school will strive to promote, both individually and collectively, the personal and professional development of all the Staff.

We express our care and commitment to the welfare of each child, acknowledging their integrity and celebrating each one’s individuality.

Whitecross encourages the involvement of parents through the Parents’ Association and through home school contact. We recognise the important role of parents in the education of their children and encourage their active support.

We will endeavour to enhance the self-esteem of everyone in the school community, to imbue in the pupils respect for people and property and to encourage a spirit of independence and responsibility.

The school community will promote a positive attitude to behaviour.

Whitecross will promote gender equity at all levels among teachers, pupils and all other staff.
