The 2nd class children in Ms. Rogan's class have been hard at work making patterns in Maths. They were focusing on patterns in colour, size, shape and objects. All children showed excellent teamwork skills working in their pairs and threes. Have a look at them in action!

During Science Week, the children worked in small groups to investigate what materials would work best to make a freestanding building. They had a time limit to complete the experiment in. The materials they worked with were: cubes, straws and Playdough, Lego, dice, cardboard tubes and playing cards. After a lot of communicating, constructing and designing the children felt that the cubes and Lego were the best materials to build with. Well done to all the scientists in Ms. Rogan's class.

The children also made Mini-Rosary beads out of pipe-cleaners and beads. They really enjoyed making and designing their rosary beads using lots of different colours. In preparation for Christmas, the children got to visit the school's crib and see the Advent Wreath in the church. Finally, second class children performed their 2nd class assembly in front of the junior end of the school. They all spoke, sang and played their recorders so well. Maith sibh

In 2nd class we have been receiving lessons from a top FAI Sports and Fitness coach. We have been learning how to improve our techniques in throwing and catching, kicking, jumping, skipping and striking a ball. We have also been playing some really fun playground games.
Have a look at us in action… J

We have been learning all about autumn.
Look at our autumn trees with their coloured leaves and our leaf rubbings around our Gaeilge poem ‘Duilleoga’.

Spooky antics in Ms. Rogan’s 2nd class!! Our class of boys and girls has been transformed into a class full of witches, vampires, skeletons and all creatures scary!  We had such fun taking part in our Fashion Show!
Happy Halloween everyone J
